Clear Brook Farm was established in 1995. 2021 will be our 27th season growing bedding plants, certified organic vegetables and fruits. At the height of mid-season, we employ 25 folks either as full and or part time employees. About 5 people work close to year-round. The farm cultivates about 45 acres of land 25 of which are in veggies and small fruits every year. The rest is in cover crops and straw. The farm stand is our main outlet for selling our produce and plants.
Our farm is a one stop nursery and Farm Stand for all your garden plant needs in the spring and fresh produce needs for the summer and autumn. We grow ornamental bedding plants, organic vegetable starts, 25 acres of our own vegetables. We also grow an acre of organic strawberries and blueberries. Our Farm Stand offers not only our own produce, but also lots of other local meats, dairy, and baked goods, as well as other seasonal produce.
Clear Brook Farm has a wide selection of plants for your garden beds. We take pride in growing the highest quality plants and featuring special varieties unavailable elsewhere in southern Vermont. Our farm grows over 400 varieties of annuals and 200 varieties of perennials from seed. In addition, the farm offers the largest selection of organically grown vegetable and herb starts in the region, with over 200 different heirloom and hybrid (NO-GMOs) varieties to make your vegetable garden a success. Clear Brook Farm has many larger second year perennials, trees, and shrubs to complete your landscape. We have been growing bedding plants for the last 20 years as well. Not only do we grow the familiar annuals and perennials that most people are familiar with for their gardens, we also grow a number of more unusual annuals and perennials to keep your garden an area of interest. We also offer many shrubs and some trees as well... we love native plants and try to keep a nice selection of those in stock during the spring planting season.
During in-season business, we take careful precautions to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. All Clear Brook Farm staff members are fully vaccinated at this time.
While working, our staff still hand wash as much as possible after contact with a customer or while handling money.
